Bay Creek Wilderness

The road to Bell Smith Springs was closed when we arrived. We instead went to Bay Creek Wilderness for a 6mi loop. We hiked counter-clockwise starting at Ozark Rd trailhead.

This trail was largely unmaintained and a chore to complete. Roughly 1/4 of the trail was not apparent to us. No blazes. No consistent path. Overgrown with weed trees, briars, and tall grasses. We're lucky we had a good Gaia Map to help us complete this loop.
