Angels after Dark

Experience the magic of the outdoors after dark with a guided night hike at Angel Mounds. We'll start before sunset, and finish after dusk. Explore, listen for wildlife, and enjoy an evening in nature.

• Difficulty: Easy
• Length: 3 miles
• Terrain: Flat (with lots of tree roots)

We'll meet at the Knight Township Fire Department, which offers access to the Levee and trails.

What to Bring

• Sturdy shoes for hiking
• Headlamp or flashlight
• Water and snacks
• Bug spray (picaridin is recommended)

Schedule

ALL TIMES LISTED IN CENTRAL TIME (CST/CDT)

• 6:30 PM: Meet at the former Knight Township Fire Department (see map)
• 8:30 PM: Hike wraps up.

Ground Rules

• Leave No Trace—pack out all trash.
• Dogs must remain on a fixed, non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet.
