Pack A Dam Lock 2026 [Paddle Perry]

Join the Co-op for Paddle Perry's annual Pack A Dam Lock (P.A.D.L.). This will be their 5th annual P.A.D.L., and we're excited to participate this year. Kayak 5 miles from Rocky Point to Cannelton, with a stop in the Cannelton Lock and Dam.

• Distance: 5 miles
• Water Conditions: Moderate current

What to Bring

• Kayak or canoe (no inflatables) (Rentals available)
• PFD (personal flotation device, required)
• Paddles
• Dry bags for gear
• Water and snacks/lunch
• Sunscreen and hat
• Change of dry clothes and towel (in a dry bag or in your car)
• Water shoes or sandals with heel straps

Schedule

ALL TIMES LISTED IN CENTRAL TIME (CST/CDT)

• 8:00 Driver drops off boats and passengers at Rocky Point
  Then Driver only drives west to Cannelton to catch a return shuttle
• 9:30 AM: Shuttle departs Cannelton, returning drivers to Rocky Point.
• 10:00 AM: Launch from Rocky Point
• 10:45 AM: Locks open
• 11:30 AM: Locks close
• 1:00 PM: Take-out at Cannelton

Ground Rules

• All participants must wear a PFD while on the water.
• No alcohol on the water.
• Follow all Perry Paddle instructions.
