Rainy Day Hike 🌧️ at Yellow Birch Ravine

Pack your galoshes and ponchos this week and plan for a 'wet hike' at Yellow Birch Ravine. The trail has several creek crossings and a quite impressive waterfall best viewed in the rain!

This will make for an easy (but wet), scenic hike along a ravine stream bed with steep, rocky cliffs, waterfall, and a natural arch.

• Length: 3.8 miles

WHAT TO BRING

• Poncho or Lightweight rain gear 
• Sturdy shoes for hiking (they'll get wet!)
• Long pants
• Day Bag
• Water (for drinking) and snacks
• Packed lunch (eaten on trail)
• Walking stick or hiking poles (optional)
• Clean shoes for the car ride (leave in the car)

• 10:00a - Rendezvous at I-64 and IN-37 Marathon
• 10:30a - Arrive at trailhead
• 12:00p - Lunch on trail

• 5:00p - arrive in Evansville

NOTES

• Parking is limited to 2 vehicles. Carpool from Evansville or meet up at I-64 and IN-37 (exit 79).
• There are reports of stinging nettle on the trail. Wear long pants just in case!
