Pack your galoshes and ponchos this week and plan for a 'wet hike' at Yellow Birch Ravine. The trail has several creek crossings and a quite impressive waterfall best viewed in the rain!
This will make for an easy (but wet), scenic hike along a ravine stream bed with steep, rocky cliffs, waterfall, and a natural arch.

WHAT TO BRING
- Poncho or Lightweight rain gear
- Sturdy shoes for hiking (they'll get wet!)
- Long pants
- Day Bag
- Water (for drinking) and snacks
- Packed lunch (eaten on trail)
- Walking stick or hiking poles (optional)
- Clean shoes for the car ride (leave in the car)
WHEN/WHERE

- 09:00a - Meet at Lowe's to Carpool
- 10:00a - Rendezvous at I-64 and IN-37 Marathon
- 10:30a - Arrive at trailhead
- 12:00p - Lunch on trail
- 1:30p - Wrap up hike
- 2:30p - arrive in Evansville
NOTES
- Parking is limited to 2 vehicles. Carpool from Evansville or meet up at I-64 and IN-37 (exit 79).
- There are reports of stinging nettle on the trail. Wear long pants just in case!
