USI Bent Twig Trails (Day Hike +🦮)

USI has an extensive trail system. Let’s do a lap around campus and explore a bit! Plan for around 3 miles. Dogs welcome on a fixed leash.--- More Break --- (No retractable leashes.)

Who Should Join

• Audience: Cold-weather hiking enthusiasts
• Skill Level: All levels welcome, no prior experience required
• Requirements: Good physical health; ability to hike in winter conditions

What to Bring

• Sturdy shoes for hiking
• Day Bag
• Water (for drinking) and snacks
• Sunscreen
• Walking stick or hiking poles (optional)

When / Where

ALL TIMES LISTED IN CST or CDT

• 9:00 Meet at USI near Tennis Courts
• 11:30 Wrap up hike
• 12:00 Optional lunch afterwards somewhere nearby (TBD)

Ground Rules

• Leave no trace, and pack out all your trash.
• No children.
• Dogs are permitted on a 6ft leash (fixed, non-retractable).
