O'Bannon Woods State Park

Immerse yourself in the beauty of O'Bannon Woods this fall! We'll take in the vibrant autumn colors along the Ohio River, Blue River, and Potato Creek and stop at the historic fire tower for breathtaking views. This 8-mile trek is the perfect way to enjoy the crisp air and stunning scenery of the season.

Hikers who enjoy a bit more distance, but with scenery to pay off.There's about 900ft of total elevation.

What To Bring

• Sturdy shoes for hiking
• Day Bag
• Water (for drinking) and snacks
• Packed lunch (in your day bag)
• Sunscreen and Bug spray
• Walking stick or hiking poles (optional)
• Clean shoes for the car ride (leave in the car)

• Dogs permitted on 6-ft fixed leash.

Notes

• Trails are rated as Moderate to Rugged.
• These trails have steep inclines.
• Some trails run along creeks any may be wet/muddy.
• The park has restrooms. We'll stop by them as we arrive and depart.
• We'll visit the firetower after we finish hiking. It's optional.
