Bankhead National Forest (3 Nights)

Rain has forced us to adjust our plans last-minute. After getting rained out of the Ozarks, the second half of this trip is spent in Bankhead National Forest in Alabama.

We'll arrive Wednesday afternoon as the rain stops, and depart before the rain arrives Saturday afternoon.

  • 12:00PM - Lunch on the road
  • 2:00PM - Grocery run in Moulton, AL
  • 5:00PM - Arrive at Brushy Creek Lake Campground
• Thursday, April 3
  • Hike Ugly Creek (7 miles, waterfalls trail, rugged)
• Friday, April 4
  • Hike Sipsey Loop to Big Tree starting at Thompson Trailhead (12 miles, VERY rugged)
• Saturday, April 5
  • 9:00AM - Pack out
  • 11:00AM - Hike at Monte Sano State Park (Sinks and Stone Cut trails, 2.5mi, rugged)
• Sunday, April 6
  • 10:00AM - Depart for Evansville
